Charice Pempengco, the Philippines teen singing sensation has revealed a secret that she was supposed to guest in the comeback tour of King of Pop Michael Jackson this July.
She felt sad when she heard the news that Michael just passed away. Even though they haven’t met in person but still Michael chose her to perform in his coming concert.
She also said that she was supposed to join Jackson next week in rehearsals for his comeback world tour.
She was approached by Michael’s lawyer when she attended a private party of Warner Brothers and said that she had picked by MJ as his special guest in the concert. “I was so stunned” she said.
Jackson’s lawyer reportedly said that “The King” had watched her during her guestings on Oprah.
Jackson picked Charice after watching YouTube footage of her singing “Billie Jean” while doing the “moonwalk”.
“Right away, he said, ‘I want this kid!’” said Charice.
Jackson was reportedly planning to do a Billie Jean duet with Charice while they do a dance showdown.
Charice felt that he is kind and she’s thankful for Michael’s gesture because even though she’s a newbie she had picked to be part of Michael’s concert and he’s already a legendary singer.
