1st Trip Abroad (Singapore-Malaysia)

Singapore, my first trip abroad. I love this country and I'll try to come back again soon. Changi airport, one of the most beautiful airports in the world. We rode the train going to our hotel which is in Lavender St.

We spent our Day 2 touring the city, sight-seeing and shopping. Mall hopping from Bugis, Raffles City and Marina Square. Took pictures with the famous Merlion and other building structures.

My favorite day, the Universal Studios day. I've been a fan of amusement parks and this place is one of a kind. Extreme rides, favorite movies and characters all in one place. After that, we dropped by to Little India and Mustafa and had a dinner.

We  dedicated our last day tour in Legoland Malaysia. One and a half hour bus ride from Singapore to Legoland. Amazing mini structures representing different countries made in Lego. There are also extreme rides and souvenir shops.

GCC (10k steps)

This device will be my buddy for the next 3 months. The Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) is a workplace health and well-being program aimed at changing the behavior and improving the health of employees around the world. The event promotes 10,000 steps per day.

The event will truly help me to stay fit and healthy that's why I decided to join. Aiming for 10k steps everyday or even exceed it. Of course, to make it more effective, balance diet and exercise also needed.

SAGADA TRIP

SAGADA, one of the most memorable places I've been. If you want adventure trip, this place is highly recommended. Popular activities include trekking, exploring both caves and waterfalls, spelunking, bonfires, picnics, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, and participating in tribal celebrations. Bomod-ok Falls, Sumaging Cave and Hanging Coffins are some of the famous tourist spots in Sagada.

I'm so proud to say that I survived!!! SAGADA. I realized that I'm not weak because I'm able to finished all the activities within the cave. It's really hard but it's so worth it if you're able to surpass all the challenges.

You must also try the Yoghurt and Lemon Pie. I really love the yoghurt strawberry flavor. The sweet strawberry and sour taste yoghurt blended well.

Philippine General Election 2013

Today, May 13, 2013 is the Philippine general election. There will be elected Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Vice Governors, Mayors, Vice Mayors, district Councilors and Party list groups.

I woke up early to avoid long lines in voting, but as early as 9:00 AM precincts were already jam packed, which is good to know that so many people were excited to vote and use their rights to choose their leaders. I prepared a list of candidates that I chose before I went to the voting place. My sister and I were having a hard time searching for our precinct number but thanks to some volunteers and watchers who helped us. After one and a half hours, we're done (patience is a virtue, lol). I just hope that right people will be elected as leaders of our nation.

Half-Year

Time flies so fast. It’s already June and almost half of the year. But previous months has been remarkable. Memorable experiences happened for the past 5 months. Let me start with the month of January.

January: Azrael Raeon Hernandez a.k.a UNO his nickname came to our lives. Our little angel is already 5 months old.

February: February 19, 2011 to be exact, Taylor Swift visited Manila for a one night concert at Araneta Coliseum. I’m a big fan and I was able to watch her concert. Wishing to meet her in person but I’m contented just to hear and watch her performed live.

March: Started to become stress out from my work. But good thing to have my new found family and friends. Been active online and chatting with them made me feel relax a little bit. Thanks to my TIC TIC Pinas (Philippines) Family.

April: My most like international band visited Manila. Together with my friend, we’re able to watched “The Script” concert at Araneta Coliseum last April 16, 2011. The concert was amazing and the band was awesome. Their song Breakeven was my favourite.

May: Tic Tic Tic Fever. Poreotics shows has been one of the highlights of my past 5 months or maybe of my year. To meet the crew was a dream come true. I went to their mall shows, radio tour and even attended Dumbo’s dance workshop (lol) but it was so much fun. Thanks to Poreotics and Sir Danny Batimana.

Quest Crew Fever

I mentioned here in my blog that the America's Best Dance Crew Season 3 winner The Quest Crew is coming to Manila. Last December 5 we went to Mckinley Hills on their last show. We're so lucky that we got a chance to meet the members of the Quest Crew and took pictures with them.

The members of the crew are Brian Hirano, Steve Terada, Ryan Feng, Ryanimay Conferido, Victor Kim, Aris Paracuelles and Hokuto Konishi (which I haven't got a photo with him.

I made a scrapbook and all of them signed it except for Hok again. I'm happy that they appreciate my work. They said that "It's cool".

Our pictures before and after the show. It's really an advance birthday gift for me.

Woohoo I'm Back!

I’m back! It’s been so long since I last updated my blog. But now I’ll try to post and share personal experiences maybe once or twice a week. Well, I have so many stories to share and pictures that I want my co-bloggers to see. So guys just wait for my posts and I appreciate your thoughts and comments if you want to say something. (“,)

I Resigned

Sorry guys if I wasn’t able to update my blog. I’m just so busy these past few days submitting and preparing requirements for my new work. Yes! I already submitted my resignation letter in my current work because there’s a new opportunity that came my way. The time I have spent at my previous employer has been most rewarding and I hope that my contributions to the company have been constructive. I’ll miss my friends there, for good times and bad times, through thick and thin, we’re just like partners in crime. But I know there’s always a way if we really want to see each other. I’m just hoping that I’ll also meet good people in my new work.

“I wish the company luck and continued success and as I leave, I hope that same luck would also happen to me.” This was the last sentence that I put in my resignation letter. I’m just praying that I made the right decision and I’m at the right path in achieving my goals in life.

Happy HALLOWEEN!

It's Halloween, I know the kids are so excited on what costume they will wear for trick or treating. Trick or treating is a customary practice for children on Halloween seen in many countries. Children in costumes, either in large groups or accompanied by an adult, travel from house to house in order to ask for treats such as candy or money with the question "Trick or treat?". Usually they bring a jack-o-lantern basket where they put all the candies they collected. A jack-o'-lantern (formerly also known as a Jack o' the lantern) is typically a carved pumpkin. It is associated chiefly with the holiday Halloween.

Honestly, I haven't got a chance to do a trick or treating and wear a costume. I always thought that it's only exist in other countries especially in the United States. But I found out that kids here in the Philippines do also this practice. Exclusive villages organize events like Halloween parties and trick or treating for the children. But the most important thing to do this Halloween is to visit our loved ones who already passed away. If we have no time to visit them in the cemetery at least offer them a prayers.

Just got this bear biscuit from my officemate. It's so cute that's why I don't even want to eat it. But I'm still curious on what's it taste, so the ending was I couldn't stop myself eating this yummy bear. (",)

UAAP 3-Peat Champion

The Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles grabbed 3-peat in UAAP Season 73 finals. They sweep the finals 2-0 against the Far Eastern University Tamaraws. The defending champion ADMU outplayed the FEU in Game 1 with 23 points margin 49-72. Many expected that FEU will bounce back in Game 2; they need to win for a do or die match in Game 3. But Ateneo denies FEU of UAAP Season 73 championship title at the end of Game 2. The final score 65-62 and the Blue Eagles defended their championship title. Congratulations to Ateneo Blue Eagles and to all the participating schools for a successful UAAP Season this year.

It's PHI's Birthday

Hey guys, it's Phi's birthday today. Born September 15, 1981 and he's already 29 years of age but he doesn't look old. By the way, he's a member of the Jabbawockeez, the crew that I admired the most. He's Vietnamese and he's really an amazing dancer. One thing I remembered about him was his willingness to do everything for the fans. I also called him as "Mr. Nice Guy". On his birthday I just really wish the best for him and for the Jabbawockeez. For all the success that their experiencing right now, they still keep their feet on the ground and didn't forget to thank their fans. Hope to meet them again soon. Happy Birthday Jeff "PHI" Nguyen (",)
