September 2009, Jabbawockeez hit the Philippines like a storm. That was their first visit in the country. All their shows were well attended and the malls were jam packed. They stayed here for about 1 week and then flew back home to the US. Although we’re able to watch their shows, we’re not given a chance to meet them. Too bad for us but that time I’m just praying that they’ll be back and I’ll able to meet them someday.
Three months after their September shows, there has been rumors in twitter world that the masked men were coming back to the Philippines. Someone working on MMI confirmed the said come back and they’ll be in Katy Perry’s Rock for Relief concert for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. But it didn’t happen, Jabbawockeez have too many commitments in the US so we’re really disappointed.
December 30, 2009, MMI tweeted that Boyce Avenue, Jabbawockeez and Kris Allen will be having a concert in Manila and Cebu. I’m just like, JABBAWOCKEEZ? Did I read it right? I tweeted her back to confirm and to thank her for bringing back the Jabbas. That time I can’t express how happy I am. But that happiness was doubled when a good lady send me a direct message and she promised that she’ll made sure I’ll meet them.
Whoah, I really cried and wanted to jump for joy. I realized that God will always make a way. I felt that God really blessed me of such a wonderful gift because he knew how much I love the Jabbawockeez. And dreams do come true.
February 6, 2010, before the Music Fest Concert, meet and greet began. I still can’t believe that I was able to hug all of them and meet them personally. The time was limited but I’m really thankful that I got a chance to meet this wonderful people. Last September, I’m just hoping for their autograph on my poster and now having a picture with them, wow, it just gave me too much happiness.
They stayed here for 1 month but I thought they will be here until March. They have commitments in the US so they need to leave soon. Now they’re saying goodbye again, thanking their fans for their wonderful experiences here in the PI. They promised that they’ll be back and I believe that they will come back. Goodbye Jabbawockeez, for now and we will wait for your next visit.
