Our CARAMOAN ISLANDS Escapade

June 20, 2010 we arrived at the airport at around 5:30 am earlier for our 6:45 am scheduled flight. I'm excited at the same time nervous because most of us were first time to ride an airplane.

We rode a bus going to the airplane.

Inside the airplane and i'm still nervous but happy. Our flight took for about 45 mins. going to Naga Airport

We safely arrived at Naga and time to ride a motor boat going to Caramoan Islands

One of the islands that we passed by while sailing. Most of the time of our boat trip we're asleep because we haven't sleep yet.

One of the Islands in Caramoan. I think this was the third island out of the 5 Islands we visited.

The fourth island, I love this picture

St. Michael Church in Caramoan

The popular destination for wakeboarding, the CWC

On our way home and look what I caught, a rainbow, so beautiful.
Our Caramoan Island hopping was an experience. Experiencing the beauty of the world. Experiencing the beauty of nature especially here in the Philippines. I thank God for this wonderful creation and i'm thankful that before it's too late, before everything is gone I was able to see this places.

Happy Independence Day, PHILIPPINES

Today, we Filipinos are celebrating the Philippine Independence Day. This year marks the 112th year of Philippine Independence from Spanish Government. This is an official holiday so there’s no work, no classes in the Philippines.

The declaration of Philippine Independence Day occurred on June 12, 1898 in Cavite el Viejo but now Kawit Cavite, Philippines. Filipino revolutionary head General Emilio Aguinaldo, the first Philippine President, proclaimed the sovereignty and independence of the Philippine Islands from the colonial rule of Spain after the latter was defeated at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish-American War.

The declaration, however, was not recognized by the United States or Spain. The Spanish government later ceded the Philippines to the United States in the 1898 Treaty of Paris that ended the Spanish-American War.

The United States recognized Philippine independence on July 4, 1946 in the Treaty of Manila. July 4 was observed in the Philippines as Independence Day until August 4, 1964 when, upon the advice of historians and the urging of nationalists, President Diosdado Macapagal signed into law Republic Act No. 4166 designating June 12 as the country’s Independence Day. June 12 had previously been observed as Flag Day.

Every year, millions of Filipinos from all over the world gather around and celebrate this important day.

A Wealthy ILOCOS

This are the reasons why I really want to go to Ilocos so badly. Old Churches, historical houses, the streets and the Marcos mansion. This place is wealthy from its historical backgrounds, traditions, products and some known personality. We're planning to go there maybe last week of August and i'm really excited to see this beautiful structures. Again, I just grabbed this photos from my brother.

An Old Stuffs

Just got this photos from my brother when they went to Ilocos. Some old stuffs during the Spanish time. All this things were a big part of our history and it's really a big help to the people who wants to know more about the Philippine history.

Wooden Refrigerator

They use this to transport or to bring heavy things

Kitchen

Iron and Basin

Typewriter

Car

Bed

Cooking Equipment

Jar

Water Jar

Ice Crusher

They said that during those time if you have this things in your house it only means that you belong to a wealthy and prominent family. I just realized that if we compare the lifestyle that time in terms of the things they used, obviously, today is way better where all of our appliances are already electronic. And it makes our life much easier.

"Never Shout Never"

Have you heard about this singer called “Never Shout Never”? I just learned about this artist recently when I’m watching the Pinoy Big Brother. One of the housemates named Bret was singing songs which I’m not familiar with and I thought it was his own composition. I just found out that it was a “Never Shout Never” song. So I’ve researched about it and downloaded all the songs.

To give you an idea, “Never Shout Never” is not a name of the band it is an alias of American acoustic pop musician, Christofer Ingle. He’s already a musician and singer-songwriter at the age of 19. His music genres are acoustic and pop. He plays instruments like guitar, ukulele, programming, piano, keyboard, percussion and bass. He signed in Warner Bros. Records. Some of his songs were Bigcitydreams, 30days, Happy, Trouble, What is Love, I Love You 5 and Can’t Stand It.

I think I’m already a fan of this artist. He has a unique style and own identity for his music. I honestly love his songs even though I just started listening to his songs just the other day. I’m already hooked and amazed knowing that he writes his own songs.
